HAPPY HIPS yoga workshop – Sat 3 Nov

Find out about common contributors to hip tightness, and discover some gentle, simple hip and lower back releases that you can do at home…

All of my yoga for tight hips workshops can be done by anyone from those who have never done yoga before – to experienced practitioners. I can’t promise you’ll be able to do lotus position by the end of it, but I can promise your hips will be feeling far happier, and there will be a spring – and swing – in your walk!

Time: 2 pm to 5 pm (please arrive by 1.45 pm so you have time to set up and settle in)

Date: Saturday 3 November 2018. More workshops will be held next year (dates to be confirmed).

Place: Contemporary Yoga Centre, 351 Remuera Road, Remuera

Price: $69 inc GST

Optional extra: Soft yoga balls will be used during the workshop. New ones will available for purchase afterwards ($15).

What to bring: Wear comfortable clothing (shorts or leggings and a t-shirt is fine). Everything you need will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you would prefer.

Q&A about Revive Yoga’s HAPPY Hips yoga for tight hips workshop

Q.  Does it matter if I’ve never done yoga before?

A. Not at all.  Revive Yoga’s workshops are suitable for all ages and stages – from complete beginners, to experienced yoga practitioners.

Q. My back / neck / shoulders / hips are really sore at the moment so is it ok to do a gentle yoga workshop?

A. If you register for a workshop then please be sure to let me know if you are experiencing pain so I can discuss your situation with you in more detail before making a recommendation about whether or not to proceed.

If you are experiencing stiffness or the type of pain that is typically associated with tight muscles then that will probably not be an issue.  However, if you are experiencing acute (sharp, intense) pain (for example, you put your back ‘out’ the other day) or have pain associated with a recent injury, then please consult with your physiotherapist or health professional before registering.

Q. Are the gentle yoga workshops suitable for pregnant women?

A. Most of the exercises are suitable for pregnant women, however some workshops include exercises that involve lying on the stomach and / or back so should not be done after the first trimester.  Please let me know if you are pregnant when registering for a workshop so I can discuss it with you and offer you alternative exercises during the workshop.

The fine print

Your place on the workshop will be secured once payment has been received.

Cancellations made within 24-48 hours of a workshop will be non-refundable but can be transferred to a future workshop.

Transfers on cancellations made less than 24 hours before a workshop will be at my discretion.
